Scholarship Benefits

Students awarded the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarship receive:

  • Complete coverage of tuition and college fees for the duration of the graduate programme at Oxford.

  • A living cost grant worth at least £20,780 per year to help cover accommodation and daily expenses while studying in Oxford.

  • Participation in the Leadership Programme, which includes discussions, skills training, and communication and professional development sessions.

  • Inclusion in a global alum network of scholars and access to long-term mentoring.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must:

  1. Apply to start a new full-time graduate course at the University of Oxford for the 2026–27 academic year.

  2. Demonstrate a clear link between their chosen field of study and their future career goals, showing how they plan to contribute to public life or societal improvement in their home country or region.

  3. Be from a developing or emerging economy eligible under the programme guidelines.

  4. Show the intention to return to their country of ordinary residence after completion of their studies.

  5. Secure an offer of admission for an eligible master’s programme at Oxford by the relevant deadline.

Current Oxford students cannot apply unless they are already Weidenfeld-Hoffmann scholars.

The scholarship supports a broad range of master’s courses at Oxford, including but not limited to:

  • MBA and public policy programmes

  • Social sciences, global governance, and international development

  • Law, economics, and education

  • Computer science, environmental studies, and health sciences

Application Process

  3. Upload a Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships Statement alongside the graduate application by the relevant course deadline (December or January).

  4. Submit all required academic documents, references, and test scores per the course requirements.

Shortlisted candidates are usually invited to participate in a virtual interview, often held around April 2026, and final scholarship decisions are generally communicated by May 2026.
