Galway, Ireland, is home to the non-private University of Galway, Ireland, a post-secondary research university. The organization was founded as “Queen’s College, Galway,” in 1845. It was known as “The National University of Ireland, Galway” and “University College, Galway” from 1997 until 2022. (NUI Galway). It starts as the NUI Galway would alter its name to the “University of Galway” in the summer of 2022 because its official name is unclear. Galway University is a research-driven college that has been illuminating brains since 1845. It is one of Ireland’s oldest and most prominent institutions.

Undergraduate Merit Scholarship

Awards: for Undergraduate Students are valued from €1,000 up to 50% tuition fee waivers

Eligibility: Undergraduate Students that have accepted an offer to study at the University of Galway
commencing December 2025 will be considered for these awards.

How to Apply

Scholarship applicants are assessed based on academic merit. In addition, applicants will be
asked to submit a Personal Scholarship Statement. (500 words maximum.

Postgraduate Merit Scholarship

Government of Ireland – International Education Scholarship

The offer is open to students from non-EU/EEA countries and is applicable to all fields of study.

Students who are successful will receive:

A €10,000 stipend for one year’s study

A full fee waiver of all tuition and other registration costs at the higher education institution

We also Submit applications via the online portal.

International Master’s Fellowships

Career stage: Postgraduate training

Type of researcher:  Basic, Clinical, Public health

Where your host organization is based:

Low- or middle-income countries (apart from India and mainland China)

Level of funding: £120,000 including salary, studentship stipend, fees, and research expenses

Duration of funding: 30 months (12 months teaching Master’s course and 18 months research project)
