Central Queensland University (CQUniversity) offers several undergraduate scholarships to assist international students. It also offers partner scholarships and country-specific scholarships to help students from various areas. These scholarships are intended to fund students from all over the world and lower the cost of study. Central Queensland University Scholarship in Australia

For the International Student Scholarship (ISS), all new international vocational, research, full degree and bundled academic coursework students are eligible. To meet the needs of every student, they provide a range of bursaries and scholarships. The Australian Government offers all of the funding for these scholarships, which give students the chance to continue their studies.

VISAENVOY SCHOLARSHIP (EXTERNAL)

Students engaged in research and professional development courses at an Australian educational institution, regardless of level, with diplomas and above, are eligible to apply for this award. They give students in various fields a $5,000 grant each year.

Eligibility criteria

Current and prospective domestic and international students of all nationalities who want to pursue full-time studies in their field in Australia are eligible to apply for the VisaEnvoy scholarship:

  • Courses for Diplomas, Advanced Diplomas, and Certificates 3 and 4
  • Undergraduate
  • Graduate Diploma Courses

Selection criteria

  • Academic history, primarily tertiary grades and rankings, considering the standing of the relevant university where the studies were conducted.
  • Pertinent professional experience.
  • Scholarly articles that are pertinent.
  • Scholarly citations.

DESTINATION AUSTRALIA SCHOLARSHIP (INTERNATIONAL)

International students enrolled in CQUniversity’s rural campuses are eligible to apply for the $15,000 annual Destination Australia Scholarships, which the Australian Government sponsors. 

With their tight-knit communities, authentically Australian experiences, chances to see famous natural wonders, and cheaper cost of living than capital cities, their remote campuses in Queensland provide much more than just a top-notch education. The International Student Scholarship, which offers an extra 25% scholarship, may also be available to all incoming international students.

Scholarship Value: $15 000 AUD annually with a stipend of 25% for tuition through the International Student stipend   
Length of Scholarship: 4 years

Eligibility criteria 

In order to qualify for the Destination Australia Scholarship, successful candidates need to:

Be enrolled in or planning to enrol in one of the following courses at CQUniversity in Term 1, 2024:

  • Diploma IV Certificate
  • Associate’s degree and advanced diploma
  • A bachelor’s degree
  • Master’s degree with honours, advanced certificate, Advanced Degree
  • A master’s degree
  • A doctorate

Also,

  1. Becoming the first student in the course.
  2. Be enrolled internally at the campuses in Bundaberg, Mackay, Ooralea, Rockhampton North, or Cairns.
  3. Enrol on Term 1, 2025, the Census date.
  4. At the beginning and throughout the study time, reside in a regional area.
  5. Keep their student visa current for the length of their scholarship.

Continuous Eligibility

The chosen candidate must maintain a minimum GPA of 4.0 each term to retain the Destination Australia Scholarship.

Maintain a full-time study load in the course for the duration of their scholarship, as determined by the Census date in each Term 1 and Term 2.

CQUNICARES ADIP RIJAL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP (DONOR-FUNDED)

An overseas student living in Queensland will receive recognition and support through the CQUniCares Adip Rijal Memorial Scholarship. The Rijal family sponsors this scholarship in honour of the life of the late Adip Rijal.

Length of Scholarship: 1 (One) Year
Number Available: 1 (One)

Eligibility criteria

The following requirements must be fulfilled in order for a candidate to be eligible for the CQUniCares Adip Rijal Memorial Scholarship:

  1. Be enrolled at CQUniversity or plan to attend there in Term 1, 2025.
  2. Be enrolled in any undergraduate or graduate program.
  3. Be an international student.
  4. They must be able to prove that their family or personal income is low or that they are experiencing financial strain.
  5. Participate in a term study program that requires a minimum of 12 credit points.
  6. Be enrolled on the Census Date of Term 1, 2025; reside and study in Queensland.
  7. Only be awarded more than one CQUniversity Scholarship that totals $10,000 per year. 

Preference will be given to the following:

  • People from Nepal
  • Pursuing engineering or nursing studies: In exceptional cases, students who earn fewer than 12 credit points may still receive pro-rata payments. The Student Scholarships Team and the donor have the final say on this.
