PhD Scholarship in Geodynamics

The (IPGP) Institute de Physique de Globe de Paris and the School of Earth, Atmospheric, and Life Sciences (SEALS) at the University of Wollongong (UOW) in France are looking for a PhD candidate in geodynamics. The selected candidate will be part of a research team that investigates the relationships among the magnetic field, mantle processes, and the genesis of complex life.

Scholarship amount

Successful applicants will receive a tax-free stipend of $35,522 per year for the duration of the award. The selected candidate will also receive research funding in the form of computer equipment, conference travel, and visits to research collaborators.

The Dr. Tony Jordan OAM Award will be given to the most exceptional applicant, who will also receive an additional stipend.

Through the facilitation of top-notch research and teaching, the Australian Institute of Nuclear Science and Engineering (AINSE Ltd.) plays a crucial role in supporting the development of nuclear science, engineering, and associated research capabilities in Australia and New Zealand.

AINSE provides its members with a number of services and activities, such as intense undergraduate education programs, scholarships for honours and postgraduate students and Early Career Researchers, and financial support for local and international conferences. These advantages are intended to encourage scientific progress and a productive partnership between ANSTO and AINSE members.
