International students from Australia’s partner nations are eligible to apply for the Australia Awards Scholarships (AAS), a development grant provided by the Australian Government.
Through the scholarship program, Australia Awards offers students from developing nations the chance to advance their education and forge strong connections between Australia and other regions such as Asia, the Pacific, Africa, and the Middle East. The University of Sydney is assisting in preparing the leaders of tomorrow to effect change and further growth within their own nations.

Value:

1. The Australian Government pays for the entire course tuition.

University of Sydney Australia

The VCIS scholarship is given out at the beginning of a coursework degree; it is not renewable for subsequent years and is only given out once during the first year of commencement.

Value Up to $40,000
Eligibility 1. A foreign student
2. Applied for a degree through courses registered with CRICOS.
3. Obtained an admissions offer that was unqualified
Close date 1 March 2024 15 April 2024 17 June 2024

The Scholarship will be terminated if the recipient:

  1. Drops out of or is not enrolled in a course that qualifies.
  2. Turns as a domestic candidate.
  3. Starts a part-time course without permission in advance.
  4. Fails to maintain a suitable level of academic achievement.
  5. Is found guilty of major misbehavior by the university, such as providing false or misleading information in their scholarship application, among other offenses.
  6. Has taken up another scholarship available by the University of Sydney, which is valued at or more than $10,000 per year and is supported either by the university or by a third party.
  7. Fails to return to school after an authorized leave of absence.
  8. Violates any other clause in these rules that may result in termination.

The University retains the right to demand that any scholarship money awarded to the recipient of the scholarship be refunded if the student is found guilty of significant misbehavior or drops the relevant course.

Recipients of scholarships could be asked to speak about their program and represent the University of Sydney at events for marketing, corporate networking, and new student orientation.

a $9,000 reward to help a student pursuing a Master of Teaching (Secondary) degree who is doing an internship at the MLC institution.

Eligibility 1. A student in their final year of graduate school in 2024
2. Participate in an MLC School internship

Close date 21 January 2024

This scholarship is valid for up to nine months and is worth $9,000 for a full-time master’s degree.

You must:

  1. Be studying full-time in the last year of the following degree program at the University of Sydney’s School of Education and Social Work.
  2. Master of Secondary Education.
  3. Be carrying out research in one or more of the following fields of expertise:
    Mathematics
    Physics
    Chemistry
    Biology
    English
  4. have a valid Working with Children Check.

Also, be willing to:

  1. Participate in the MLC School’s onboarding and induction procedure.
  2. Placement at the school for School Terms 1 and 2 for one day each week, or the equivalent.
  3. During School Term 3, participate in an unpaid internship at the school.
    Engage in academic, extracurricular, and spiritual activities; obtain mentorship from a teacher.
