Eligibility

One World International Scholarship program scholarships range from $5,000 to $2,000. Students who are residents of British Columbia and citizens of Canada enrolled in a minimum one-year program leading to a credential offered by a public postsecondary school in BC are eligible to apply for these travel financing scholarships.

A qualifying study or work abroad program granted within a year of financing. It is an official component of the student’s credential program or an opportunity for experiential learning involving language learning and cultural training.

How to apply?

Royal Roads University awards the scholarships. Applications to this program are evaluated based on various factors, including academic standing, learning goals, involvement in the community and institutions, prior experiences related to prospects for success abroad, and preparedness for international travel.

A comprehensive application includes the following:

  1. The application form Unofficial transcripts of all postsecondary courses completed, both in British Columbia and outside of it.
  2. Two reference forms: one from a non-academic reference (which talks about your extracurricular or voluntary activities) and one from an academic reference (which speaks directly to your academic achievements).

Royal Roads Entrance Award/Bursary

Eligibility

  1. This tuition-credit prize or bursary, which the Awards Adjudication Panel may determine to be worth $2,000 to $10,000, will be given out competitively to students.
  2. Applies to any competition, regardless of the admissions application status, whose deadline is within six months of the program’s start date.
  3. Are starting a course of study.
  4. Have either proven:
  1. Accomplishment in a critical subject area for Royal Roads. Achievement can take many forms, such as prizes and honours, professional memberships, development in the relevant field of study, and academic distinction in prior related courses.
  2. Unselfish commitment to community service, volunteerism, and a legitimate need for money.
  3. Applicants who have surmounted extraordinary personal hardships (such as former foster children, children of fallen service members, etc.) will be given preference for a prize or scholarship.

How to apply?

  • How to put this into practice: Subject to financial availability, students who will be enrolled in their program after the application deadline are eligible for the entrance award. The competition will take place every year.

Applications must be submitted online using MyAdmin between;

  • December 1 and February 1,
  • March 1 and May 1,
  • June 1, August 1, September 1 and November 1. Please address eligibility in a one-page essay with your name in the top margin.
