The Deakin University Scholarships 2024-2025 are fully paid scholarships for overseas students.

Deakin-funded undergraduate scholarships

Deakin acknowledges students who regularly achieve high academic standards and can significantly contribute to the institution and its communities. Unsuccessful applicants to the Deakin Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship are automatically eligible for the Deakin International Scholarship.

Benefits

This scholarship is valid for the duration of your degree. 25% of your student contributions (tuition fees)*

Important dates

This grant is available to all students beginning their studies at Deakin. Scholarship applications should be submitted at least one month before commencing studies at Deakin. 

*This bursary is not applicable to H911 (Doctor of Medicine).

Application eligibility criteria

  1. be a potential overseas student pursuing a coursework degree at Deakin University.
  2. Be eligible to enroll at Deakin University.
  3. have had at least a 65% average (or comparable) in previous research.

All criteria must be met.
The selection of successful applicants for the set number of scholarships will be challenging, and scores might go above the set minimum standards.

Supporting documents

  1. A completed Deakin International Scholarship Programme application form.
  2. A personal declaration (300 words).
  3. a completed application for study at Deakin, including academic transcripts.

Your personal statement must be written by you and represent your own opinions. It must include:

  1. A statement outlining your motivation for studying at Deakin University.
  2. A summary of any extracurricular activities and job. Your experience, whether paid or voluntary.
  3. Why do you believe you would be a great advocate for Deakin University? 
  4. any other information that will assist your application.

Deakin Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship

Deakin acknowledges students who regularly achieve high academic standards and have the ability to make significant contributions to the University and its communities. Successful applicants will receive:

  1. a complete 100% tuition scholarship or a 50% partial tuition award.
  2. acceptance into Deakin’s signature student leadership program.
  3. the Vice-Chancellor’s Professional Excellence Program (VCPEP).

Eligibility and selection

  1. be prospective international students.
  2. be eligible to study at Deakin University.
  3. have not taken any other Deakin scholarship or bursary.

Meet the academic criteria

Deakin Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship: An 85% average (or equivalent) in previous studies – Deakin International Scholarship: A 65% average (or equivalent) in previous studies.

Supporting documents

  1. Deakin Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship requirement for applicants is to provide a complete Deakin International Scholarship Program application form (see reverse side of this flyer).
  2. personal statement (300 words).
  3. Two references who can provide feedback on your community involvement and leadership abilities.
  4. Completed the application to study at Deakin, including academic transcripts.
