The University of Plymouth is a public research university based predominantly in Plymouth, England. The university has campuses and linked colleges all around South West England and its main campus. Now ranked as the 15th most significant institution in the UK, Plymouth was first established in 1862 as the School of Navigation. The Best Global Universities list has the University of Plymouth at number 541. In the QS World University Rankings 2023, it is rated #651–700. Times Higher Education’s World University Rankings place the Plymouth University in UK at number four hundred. It is accepted with an 85% rate.

Admission to undergraduate degree programs will be evaluated for High School Leaving Certificate (HSSC) holders with an overall average of 75% and Bachelor (Pass) holders with at least 60%.

Postgraduate

Hold an excellent bachelor’s degree in four years with honors, a university-level degree that typically requires completion of at least 15 years of formal education and is comparable to the UK Higher National Diploma (HND) or higher.

English Language Requirements Undergraduate

IELTS: 6.0 overall with no less than 5.5 in any band.

TOEFL: 76 Component scores of listening 17, reading 18, speaking 20, writing 18

Postgraduate

IELTS: 6.0 overall with no less than 5.5 in any band

Both undergraduate and graduate students are eligible for the International Academic Excellence Scholarship, which recognizes and rewards exceptional achievement.

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must apply.

Value of the scholarship: 50% off your first year’s tuition.

In appreciation for your ongoing academic performance, you can also be eligible for the following benefits:

50% off the following year’s tuition if you maintain an overall grade of 70% or higher.

  • To obtain an unconditional or conditional offer letter from the University of Plymouth and fill out an application for a scholarship.

International Undergraduate Gold Scholarship, School of Psychology

Value of the scholarship: £4,000 off your first year’s tuition.

To acknowledge your ongoing academic success, you could additionally get:

  1. 10% off the tuition for the following year if an overall grade of 60% or higher is maintained.
  2. 20% off the tuition for the following year if a cumulative grade of 70% or higher is maintained.

Value of the scholarship: £2,000 off of your tuition.

In addition, if your postgraduate program lasts for two years, you could get the following:

10% off the tuition for the following year if an overall grade of 60% or higher is maintained.

To be eligible, the following conditions must be fulfilled:

You must obtain the equivalent of a UK 2:1 degree classification established by Ecctis criteria.

Achieve the minimum standards for proficiency in English.
