King’s College London is a public research university located in London, England. It was established by royal charter in 1829 under the patronage of King George IV and the Duke of Wellington. In 1836, King’s became one of the two founding colleges of the University of London. The institution ranks #33 in Best Global Universities. It is also ranked #40 in the QS World University Rankings 2024. Kings have a particularly distinguished reputation in the humanities, law, the sciences (including a wide range of health areas such as psychiatry, medicine, nursing, and dentistry), and social sciences including international affairs. King’s College London’s acceptance rate is 13%.

Entry requirements for undergraduate

Apart from India, all other countries need to complete the International Foundation Course and achieve a level of English as requested by the course. 

International baccalaureate:  Minimum IB of 35 to stand a good chance of getting admission into Kings College London.

A-levels: A*AA—AAA—AAB

Postgraduate

Three-year undergraduate program a master’s degree lasting a year70% on average for bachelor’s degrees and 65% on average for master’s degrees.

English language requirements for undergraduate

IELTS: 7.0 overall, with each skill needing at least a 6.5.

TOEFL: a minimum of 25 in writing and 23 in each of the other skills for a total score of 100. All TOEFL exam results must be submitted through King’s Apply.

PTE: 69 overall, with each expressive skill requiring at least 62 points

Postgraduate

IELTS: 6.5 overall, with each skill requiring a minimum of 6.0.

TOEFL: 92 points total, of which at least 23 were earned in writing and 20 in each of the other talents. All TOEFL exam results must be submitted through King’s Apply.

PTE: 62 total, with each expressive skill requiring at least 59 points.

Scholarships for International students

King’s Scholars of Tomorrow

Up to 10 students who enroll in King’s College London’s King’s International Foundation Program will receive a £4,000 prize from King’s Foundations.

The award is split into two parts: £2,000 is applied to the International Foundation’s tuition and another £2,000 is applied to King’s undergraduate first-year tuition.

To apply, you must own an offer from King’s Foundations and submit the one-minute film “Why My Future Begins at King’s.” A panel will select the winners.

The deadline for applications is April 8, 2024.

Eligibility

  1. Have finished applying to the King’s International Foundation Program of your choice for entrance in the fall of 2024.
  2. Have the legal right to pursue your studies in the UK (i.e., not face any barriers to entry) or to request a study permit). 
  3. By the time the scholarship applications are examined, possess an offer to enroll in the King’s International Foundation program. 
  4. Fulfill the prerequisites for admission to the King’s International Foundation Program of your choice.
