One of the earliest private universities in the UAE, Al Ghurair University, opened its doors in 1999 with the goal of improving the educational climate there and assisting students in realizing their full potential. With a 65% acceptance rate, Al Ghurair University placed 26th in the United Arab Emirates and 7748th overall in the World 2022 rankings. It ranks 601-650 in the QS World University Rankings in 2023. Also, in Dubai, it is ranked eleven.

Entry Requirements

We will consider students who have taken A Level examinations and/or the International Baccalaureate (IB) for entrance to undergraduate programs. We will also consider students who have successfully completed a Bachelor’s (Honours) degree of at least two years duration.
International Baccalaureate: minimum IB of 33
A-level: A*AA-AAA-BBB

Postgraduate

4-year bachelor a student with a GPA of 2.5 to 2.99 will be conditionally admitted to the program.

English Language Requirements

IELTS: Overall Band score of at least 6.0, with at least 5.0 in each of the four sub-tests (speaking, listening, reading, writing)
TOEFL: overall score of at least 80, and sub-tests not less than 18 in Reading, 17 in Writing, 17 in Listening, and 20 in Speaking
PTE: overall score of at least 62*, with at least 59 in each of the four sub-tests (speaking, listening, reading, writing).

Al Ghurair University scholarships

Scholarships for Undergraduates

To avail of a scholarship at the UG level, students must have a minimum GPA of 3.4. The scholarships available to them include the AGU President Scholarship, the Dean Scholarship, the Achievers Scholarship, the Merit Scholarship, and the Starter Scholarship.
A maximum tuition fee exemption of 70% is given to those awarded the AGU President Scholarship.

Scholarships for Postgraduates

These scholarships are given to qualified Bachelor’s degree holders enrolling in Master’s degree programs with a minimum CGPA of 3.5. The maximum percentage of discount offered is 35%
