In Dubai International Academic City, in the United Arab Emirates, there is a private university called the American University in the Emirates. The college was established in 2006 and considered as one of the best private institutions in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In the Arab Region Rankings 2023, it is ranked 91–100. According to the QS: World University Rankings 2021, the MBA Program at the AUD School of Business Administration is the best MBA program in the United Arab Emirates. With an acceptance rate of 55%, the American University in the Emirates was placed 16th in the United Arab Emirates and 5728th globally in the World 2022 rankings.

Entry Requirements

A high school/secondary school certificate or equivalent from an institution accredited by the Ministry of Education in the U.A.E. or by the relevant national or regional institutional accrediting body
International Baccalaureate: minimum IB of 34 in order to stand a good chance to get admission
A-levels: A*AA–AAA-BBB

Postgraduate

An undergraduate degree from an accredited national or regional institutional body, achieving a 3.00 GPA or better in undergraduate study.

English Language Requirements

IELTS: 5.0 or above
TOEFL: scored 61 or above
EmSAT: Mathematics, minimum score of 800

H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Scholarship for Undergraduate Study

Eligibility

  1. High school applicants should have at least a 90% grade average (or equivalent).
  2. Financial need as demonstrated by insufficiency to fund educational expenses will also be considered.
  3. Open to all nationalities.
  4. Open to all undergraduate programs.

Coverage/Renewal

The Scholarship entitles the recipient to a partial/full tuition waiver subject to the approval of the Scholarship Committee.
The Scholarship is granted for the first academic year, and maintained until graduation provided that eligibility conditions are satisfied. Terms and Conditions apply.

Application Process and Deadline

The HH. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Scholarships are awarded in the fall semesters only.

AUD Senior Scholarship

Scholarships may cover either 25%, 50%, or 100% of tuition not to exceed 32 CH
(one academic year) Books, fees, housing, etc. are not covered.

Eligibility Criteria

Students must:

  1. Have achieved “senior status”
    (i.e., completed all but 30-32 credit hours) in their degree program;
  2. Have a minimum CGPA of 3.5;
  3. Not have committed any Conduct Code violations.

The AUD Alumni Tuition Waiver

AUD Alumni who are admitted to any of the AUD graduate programs are entitled to a 25% tuition waiver until graduation.
